Course: Afternoon Pick-Me-Up, Dessert Drink, Drinks
Cuisine: Café Style, Fusion

Ingredients

  • 30 ml Liquid Chai
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder heaped
  • 220 ml soy milk (or your preferred milk)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 handful ice (add more for a thicker texture)
Optional Choc Sauce
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • (Melt together until smooth and drizzle inside your glass before pouring the frappe in.)

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring spoons / tablespoon
  • Jar or large glass
  • Straw

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until completely smooth and frothy.
  2. Adjust ice to your liking, more ice makes it thicker and slushier, less ice gives a creamier frappe texture.
  3. Drizzle choc sauce around the inside of your glass if using, then pour in your frappe.
  4. Sip and enjoy your chilled, chocolatey, spiced creation!

Notes

Flavour strength: Adjust the chai and maple syrup to your taste — I like it rich and a little sweet.
Milk options: Soy makes it creamy, but oat, coconut, or almond milk all work beautifully.
Texture tip: Start with less ice and add more as you blend; it’s easier to thicken than to dilute.
Shortcut version: Skip the choc sauce for a quick fix, it’s just as good without!
Serving idea: Top with a sprinkle of cacao, cinnamon, or shaved chocolate for a café-style touch.
